Mr. Laird’s professional experience includes all aspects of civil litigation from case planning through discovery, trial and appeal.

Areas of practice:
His litigation experience for more than 25 years includes extensive Superior court trials, jury trials, and serving as trial and appellate counsel for federal and state court matters. The subject matter of the cases in which Mr. Laird served as trial counsel has ranged from competitive business practices, real property and construction disputes to disputes between shareholders and directors and complex trust litigation
Publications and Conferences:
Mr. Laird has been a noted speaker at University of California Irvine on Construction Law Practice; Orange County Real Estate Association on Property Management and Litigation. His representation has resulted in published cases such as the landmark case Halbert’s Lumber v. Lucky Stores (1992) 6 Cal.App.4th 1233, resulting in current version of Civil Code Section 3262; Hamm v. Gordon (Deere Corp.) (1998) 63 Cal.App.4th 1324 establishing priority rules for title to dealer inventory, Patrick v.Alacer (2008) 167 Cal.App.4th 995.
